FEAR

Have you ever felt like fear was preventing you from reaching your full potential in life? If so, you are certainly not alone because fear is one of the biggest obstacles that many people face when trying to create better life circumstances and achieve their potential.

Fear has many names like dread, worry, panic, anxiety, and it manifests itself in varied ways as in avoidance, procrastination, agitation and violence. Sometimes  fear is part of the problem, sometimes fear is the problem itself. When we are really paying full attention, fear could become part of the solution.

Fear remains deeply entrenched within us; It is one of the most primitive of emotions that ensures-preservation. Fear as a physiological reaction has a definite evolutionary role, but when it outgrows this scope and becomes pathological, it can create havoc. In other words, fear could be functional or dysfunctional.

All fears emanate from the fear of death. It has been proved that chanting the manta,"OM MRTYUNJAYAYA NAMAHA" repeatedly helps one to come out of the fear of death. Fear is also due to lack of Knowledge. Fear of failure and the fear of rejection are the most common fear we learn during our childhood. These fears affect our self-esteem and come in the way of our success and happiness. Researchers say children are born without any fear excluding the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. All other fears are mostly learned fears and hence the good news is they can be unlearned.

Be aware of fear as it arises, neither accept it nor reject. Be fully with the fear and be aware of whatever thoughts come to your mind without judging or rejecting them. Then the thoughts die down slowly. You can win over fear by being aware of it.

In their book- Liberating Touch, Ranjana & Eddie have mentioned that holding for few minutes the index finger as shown in the picture above can help in overcoming dysfunctional fear.


Dr. Hew Len suggests that our minds can only be influenced by two things: memories or inspiration. ―Memories are subconscious thoughts and old programs that continually replay in our minds, causing pain, frustration and problems. ―Inspiration comes when we erase those old memories and reconnect with our source (Divinity).
Ho'oponopono ( the Hawaiian means to cleanse) is used to erase those fearful memories and reconnect with Divinity. Not only is it a very easy process to use, it can often have far-reaching positive effects in your life.
Ho'oponopono involves the recitation of four simple phrases as you focus on your problems:
 I‟m sorry
 Please forgive me
 Thank you
 I love you
As you say these words repeatedly while focusing on the issues that are causing you to feel fear or pain, you are in essence saying to the Divine, “I take full responsibility for the appearance of these problems in my life, even if I don't know how I created them. Please clear these memories and make this situation right again. Thank you. I love you.”
Does that sound too simple? Too good to be true? Try it yourself and you‘ll probably discover what many people do: it works!

THOUGHT

Our THOUGHTS determine our DESTINY!!!

Thinking leads to Belief
Belief leads to Action
Repeated Action forms Habits
Habits decide our Character
Character determines our Destiny

George Miller, in his book " The Psychology of Communication" estimated that humans have thoughts at a rate of 7 +/- 2 per second. That is approximately 25000 thoughts per hour. Out of this 25000 thoughts how many thoughts we are conscious of? This shows our present state of AWARENESS.

If you want to know what type of thoughts you were entertaining, see your present circumstances and they will reveal. Similarly, if you want to know what future holds for you, watch your present thoughts.

Controlling Thoughts: Successful people control their thoughts. What I mean here is that they control the meaning they want to give to the thoughts and not necessarily controlling the arising of the thoughts. It is very difficult to control our thoughts, though not impossible. The reason is thoughts travel faster than light. Light travel approximately 300000 Kilometres per second. The SUN we see now is what the SUN was 7 minutes before. It takes 7 minutes for light to travel from the SUN to the EARTH. Thought is much faster than light. You can THINK of the SUN within a fraction of a second. Hence it is very difficult to control thoughts. What we can do is to reduce the frequency of thoughts per second by increasing the gap between two successive thoughts. This is what we do in meditation. Practice the following to reduce the frequency of thoughts:

1. Simply observe thoughts as they arise without judging them.
2. Don't Resist any thought.
3. Don't Hold on to any thought.
In the process you detach yourself from thoughts by being a witness of the thoughts.

How do you know that your thoughts are working for you(not against you)? As we mentioned earlier, it is very difficult to control thoughts but it is relatively easier to observe the feeling(the other side of a thought)we have. Whenever we feel good that means our thoughts are working for us and the converse is also true.

Sources of our thoughts:
1. Our memory.
2. External objects.
3. Our Desires.
4. Our Imagination.
are the major sources of our thoughts. We can control the quality of our thoughts by controlling our sense organs and our desires. Our conscious mind's ability to direct our focus and its ability to imagine can change our life based where we focus and what we imagine. Only human beings are bestowed with this two abilities(ability to focus & ability to imagine). Let us make the best use of these abilities to empower ourselves.

KNOWLEDGE

It is said that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

What is knowledge?
What is the difference between knowledge & information?
what is the difference between knowledge & wisdom?
what is the difference between knowledge & awareness?

The Dictionary meaning of knowledge :
- awareness or familiarity gained by experience
- a person's range of information
- a theoretical or practical understanding of a subject, language, etc.

 Knowledge is the sum of what is known. For any knowledge to take place, 3 factors are required:

1. The object to be known.
2. The knower of the object(the subject).
3. The means of knowing it.

The most common means of knowledge are:

a) Direct perception: It is the knowledge gained through the 5 sense organs(eyes, ears,nose, tongue & skin) of perception.
b)Inference: Based on what we perceive AND what we already know, we infer  a thing. On seeing some smoke, we can infer that there must be fire.
c) we gain knowledge by reading or hearing from people who have directly experienced a thing or heard about it.

The difference between knowledge & information : Knowledge is information internalized or personalized.
The difference between knowledge & wisdom: Wisdom is application of knowledge for the common good of all.
The difference between knowledge & awareness: Awareness is eternal, changeless truth; Knowledge can change and need not be eternal. When the knowledge becomes eternal & changeless it is known as awareness. You need awareness to gain knowledge and awareness is the source of all knowledge.

There are 4 types of person with respect to KNOWLEDGE:
1.He who knows not and knows not he knows not: He is a fool-Shun him.
2.He who knows not and knows he knows not: He is simple-Teach him.
3.He who knows and knows not he knows: He is asleep-Wake him.
4. He who knows and knows he knows: He is wise - Follow him.

Of all the knowledge the highest knowledge is SELF-KNOWLEDGE . As regards Self-Knowledge, the object to be known is the Self and the knower is also the Self. What is the means of gaining it? The Self is not available for direct perception, therefore, it cannot be inferred or spoken of. Then how is Self-Knowledge possible? But the beauty is Self-Knowledge ( I AM THAT I AM) is inherent, changeless & ever existent.

YOU ARE UNIQUE & SPECIAL


GOD is the Zero Defect Organizer. To get 6 sigma quality certification for a product, the defective rate has to be less than 4.3 units/ 1 million units of production. In God's creation there is not even a single defect!! We are all the Products of GOD. There is no duplication in GOD's Creation. We are all UNIQUE.

Nobody is inferior; 
Nobody is superior; 
Nobody is equal 
BUT Everyone is unique.

There is nothing you can do about what interests you or energizes you. It is simply what you are. You need to only identify this uniqueness to be happy. Trying to change your unique self will always result in tiring, frustrating struggle.

You are the most important person in your life. You may have tried to believe otherwise but you have paid for this misconception with the discontent you feel or symptoms you suffer.
You have a moral duty to recover your happiness. What you do with your life affects the way you drive your vehicle, you behave, treat your people and relate to your kith & kin. You are choosing everyday what kind of force you are going to be  in the world : a force for growth or a force for resignation.

How do we find our UNIQUENESS? Answer the following questions:

1. What do you love to do ?
2. By doing what you go beyond the dimension of time & space?
3. In a book shop which section you go to automatically first?
4. In Newspapers/Magazine which section (sports, politics, etc) you read first?
5. Which activity you would like to do time & again?
The answers to these question will help to identify your UNIQUENESS.

Message from this Law :  When you understand this law of uniqueness you will accept people for what they are, respecting their uniqueness. You will understand that there is no competition between us and we only complement each other.You build on your strength and join hands with those who have got strength in your weak areas. This creates synergy where 1 + 1 could be any number more than 2.

ACCEPTANCE

Everything is ENERGY. Matter is also energy in different form. We are ENERGY. Having optimum energy is the secret of our SUCCESSFUL & HAPPY living. We need to use the energy judiciously. To optimize our energy level we need to know:
1. What are the energy enhancers? AND
2. What are the energy suckers?

NON-ACCEPTANCE of ourselves and the situation in hand causes the greatest Energy block. This leads to ill-health (mental & physical). If we think deep, we will understand that we don't have any choice but to ACCEPT the present moment because it is what "IS". We can't change this, hence it is better/wiser to accept the present moment as it is. The only REALITY we have is the PRESENT MOMENT. There is no existence other than the present moment.


We need to know what we resist, exists. Acceptance of the present moment releases the energy block. Non-Acceptance of the present moment is the main cause for all worries, anger, resentment, sadness, ill-health, strained relationship. By resisting the present moment we focus our energy there and ensure that it not only exists but becomes stronger.



The degree of suffering is inversely proportional to the degree of acceptance of the environment. Intelligent people have the wisdom to change what can be changed and accept what cannot be changed. They also have the wisdom to know the difference.



The best way to encounter the events happening in the present moment is to give at least THREE different meanings(naturally positive ones) to it. Doing this not only broadens your world view, also it creates more BEHAVIOURAL FLEXIBILITY for you. Whenever you tend to RESIST anything, observe your breathing and you will find that your breathing is shallow. NOW, before reacting please take a second and consciously have slow and deep breathing. Continue this deep breathing till the feeling of resentment subsides. GREAT!!, now you know the SECRET. PRACTICE IT and ENJOY THE FRUIT. Alternatively you can breath in through your nose and exhale forcibly through your mouth with the sound OOOSSSHHH.


Energy enhancers are acceptance, love, deep breathing, being responsible,forgiveness, humility, laughter, prayer, moderate exercise & sleep, good friends, listening, meditation, positive thinking & positive self-talk,watching jovial movies , smiling, helping, giving, fresh & nutritious food, watching the sky/ sea/nature, drinking adequate water, mudras, playing games etc.,


Energy suckers are non-acceptance, hatred, jealousy, shallow breathing, arrogance, cheating, over-eating, laziness, negative thinking & negative self-talk, complaining, complaining about complaining , enmity, over straining our eyes, shirking responsibility, lack of sleep, undue expectation from self & others, gossips etc.,


NOW you have the knowledge to optimize your energy level. BE AWARE & ACCEPT YOURSELF AS YOU ARE AND OTHERS AS THEY ARE TOTALLY AND WITH LOVE.





LOVE THYSELF

If our life is a car, the 4 wheels are: health(physical & mental), relationship with self & others, wealth & spirituality. The fuel for the car is LOVE.

We need to love ourselves to love others. All of us are interested in getting positive results in all our efforts. We need to understand that:

Our Results are influenced by our Behaviour
Our Behaviour is influenced by our Attitude
Our Attitude is influenced by our Expectation about ourselves & others.
Our Expectation is influenced by our Belief
Our Belief is influenced by our Values
Our Values are influenced by our Self-Concept.

If we were all brought up with LOVE & Affection, we would have very good Self-Concept. Otherwise we have problems in our life situations be it with wealth or health or relationship or spirituality. Even if we were not brought up with LOVE, we can still have high Self-Esteem by keep saying to ourselves " I LOVE MYSELF" repeatedly before going to sleep, no sooner getting up in the morning and whenever we see a mirror. Please do this exercise irrespective of whether you were brought up with LOVE or NOT, you will see amazing results within a month.Please continue this exercise even after your life situation improves a lot. LOVE IS EMOTIONAL OXYGEN. We need it all the time.

I am sure your doctor & medicine bills are going to come down Drastically & you are going to be in pink of HEALTH, you are going to have BETTER RELATION with your near & dear, you are becoming more & more PROSPEROUS, and you are going to understand yourself better. That why it is said LOVE IS GOD.

Existence & Consciousness

To have any experience you need an object, a subject and a link/connection between the two(the object & the subject).

Based on the meaning given(by our mind) to the experience we feel happy or sad about the experience. The object(environment) is very little under our control but the meaning given by us to the experience is totally in our control. We need to be aware to give the meaning we want which will empower us, otherwise the meaning would be given by default, based on our past conditioning, likes & dislikes. If the meaning is given without our awareness(by default) we can't be sure whether it will empower or dis-empower us.

When we see any object we see not only the object(the substance) but also its attributes like colour,shape etc., though we perceive this as a unitary experience(since the object and the attributes have the same locus) in reality it is a binary experience that is the experience of the object and that of its attributes. For example if you see a  green colour pen, you are not only experiencing the pen(the object) but also its green colour(its attribute). All objects have one common attribute which is the Existence - the  "isness". The pen is there. with respect to external object the "isness" is known as Attributive Existence & with respect to our internal thoughts it is known as Consciousness. The Existence & the Consciousness is part and parcel of our true self. This knowledge gives us freedom. Attributive Existence is perceived by our senses and Pure Existence without any attributes can't be experienced by our senses.

Pure Existence is the Oneness without any Second.
